Hip to Death

Hip to Death dole out a thick, disorienting splatter of room-spinning post-punk psych-rock that threatens to suck your eyeballs inside-out and eat ‘em on a cracker. Mogwai may’ve beaten ‘em to the funny flag for their album title; aside from that, Punk Will Never Die But You Will packs so much intense, skin-pulling, acid-gobbling goodness into its 26 minutes, I’m at a loss to know why the N.E.C., Abby Gogo, All the Saints and other local psych-heavy noisemongers haven’t been beating down their hatch to book some gigs with them. -Jeff Clark, Stomp and Stammer
